CET's under attack. We need your help.

The main building of College of Engineering Trivandrum, framed by trees.

Our beloved College of Engineering Trivandrum, alma mater to more than 50,000 CETians around the world, is facing an existential threat. The Government of Kerala proposes turning CET into a constituent college of the much-maligned and academically inferior Kerala Technical University (KTU).

This is not a change that can be taken lightly. As CETians, we have been patiently awaiting the government-appointed committee's report for several weeks, following the hasty announcement in a budget speech in July 2026. The utter silence is a matter of deep concern. What, after all, is there to hide?

As CETians, we remind the Government of Kerala of its promise to engage in a genuine conversation on this matter. We demand transparency about the proposed change under KTU, a clear explanation of why it would benefit CET and Kerala society, and a factual account of its implications for CET's future. As alumni, we urge not just the present students, teachers, and employees of CET, but all sections of Kerala society, to come together and join us in this campaign to save CET.
